Alan Velecky
MSc, CPsychol, AFBPsS
Alan is an expert in leadership with over 20 years’ experience consulting to global organisations across sectors and geographies. He is expert in leadership assessment, development and coaching, talent management, and helping organisations survive and thrive through transformation. He has in-depth experience of delivering projects for clients spanning financial services, government and public sector, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, retail, professional services and third sector. He is particularly passionate about coaching leaders in order to maximise their motivation and performance. He is also fascinated by neuropsychology and its application to leadership, and is in the process of completing a Masters in Applied Neuropsychology at Bristol University.
Alan obtained his first degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford University in 1988, and in 1997 retrained as an Occupational Psychologist. He received his Psychology degree from The Open University, and his Masters in Occupational Psychology from City University in London. He is a Chartered Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and an HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist.
Prior to his career as a business psychologist, Alan worked for 10 years as a television director, managing people and projects – for the BBC, ITN, and satellite channels.
